Scarecrow Decorating Contest & Fundraiser

Vote by donating to your favorite scarecrow and/or participating charity!

We have invited a number of 501 (C)(3) compliance charities in the area to participate in our first annual Scarecrow Decorating Contest and Fundraiser. Participating charities design, decorate and display their scarecrows at Bauman’s Farm & Garden during the Harvest Festival for a chance to raise awareness and fundraising support for their respective causes.

Each participating charity is assigned a 8’x12’ space to decorate and feature their scarecrow along with a donation box where patrons visiting the farm and harvest festival will be invited to vote for their favorite display. One vote = $1 Donation in the form of a ticket that you can purchase at any of the registers at the Farm store or in the greenhouse where the displays are. Voting starts Sep 23^rd and ends Oct 27^th. (Please do not place cash in the charity donation boxes…purchase and only use the tickets).

All scarecrows are displayed in the main green house (#1) adjacent to our garden center and farm store. Harvest Festival admission is NOT required to visit and see the displays.  Please stop by and we thank you in advance on behalf of all the participating charities for your generous donations & votes.

Bauman’s, together with Capitol Subaru and Xfinity will match up to $3,500 in donations and guarantee that each charity will receive at least $500 for participating.
